Could they be worse? At least, for the first month or so, there will be some genuine interest in this team. You do realize that those contracts, while necessary now for cap compliance, are eventually going to handcuff this team going forward. 2, 2 1/2 seasons from now they are going to have OLD guys with dead cap money holding up the young'uns that they hope will be the future.

yeah, and a high potential for being a bit too competitive for their own good, and over the next 4 years, end up picking 11-15.

Good point. The Islanders are boned though until they either get the Lighthouse project confirmed or move...Phoenix is going to have an easier time gathering fa's.
