Well if th econcern is slowin gthe game down and not making it exciting. They could just get rid of the inerference rule and set up wedge plays. Tha would be interesting for a while at least.

Didn't see the game, just the posted clip. I award points for amusing me, and Philly wins that clip for making me laugh.

Either put the redline back in and punish offense & defense or else initiate a 'shot-clock' to force the issue.

You clearly see the defense they're employing, so figure out a way to exploit it's weaknesses.
Response: "But it has no weaknesses".
    Bull****.

There are no limits to plays that can be run to break through that or any defense.
Like Fishy said, the Flyers just didn't wanna work that hard.
    Wahhh!

Nothing that drastic needed. How bout a coach that trusts his players to simply execute a breakout with speed commiting to offense and only chip the puck between the gap of the 3 players at the redline. Instant 2-1 with the ability to cover a high F3 if the chip isnt recovered. There's a strong side and weakside chip opporutnity which doesn't require getting the puck "Deep". Play a 50/50 puck with 2 strong forecheckers and one static dman. I'd take those odds all day long.

Nobody bitches when a football team like Baltimore wins games almost exclusively on defense, yet when a team demonstrates an ability to take one dimensional 'offense-first' teams out of a game, oh my doodness it's killing hockey!!!! I have watched almost every Devils game over the past, I dunno, forever...and winning is never boring. So you guys want all the games to be like that Philly/Jets game a few weeks back, where almost every shot was a score? That...will kill hockey. What's the point of playing if you don't have the give and take of a good defensive game. And low scoring games, where every shot is like sudden death can be hella exciting. The Flyers, as always, sulk like nobodies business. What they did was bush league and they should have been warned, 'do that again, and you forfeit'. Ohhhhhhhh we don't like the way they are playing, so instead of outworking them we are gonna take our puck and go home. Pansy ass team.
The TRAP with it's variations is a fine excuse for ****ty teams to look more competitive then they really are.
And most NHL people want to forget the torture of the dead puck era.

    The Flyers are babies.
So was the two-line pass offside rule. And yet it was dumped for the better of hockey.

As always, horribly over simplified. Thanks for weighing in. So you are against teams being competetive...got it!

    Edit:You probably hate America too.

This is totally the Flyers' fault. They were on offense and had the puck, meaning they need to attack the Lightning's defensive zone. The Flyers didn't even attempt to make an effort to do so. It doesn't matter what defensive formation the other team has, if you have the puck you attack, plain and simple.

pointing out the obvious. Remember how ESPN decided to start cutting on NHL TV production that lead to the Versus contract?

I really don't know why I should hate USA. Do you see ghosts around you or somethin'?
    America=more then USA btw.
