I think JD should stop responding to Raza's points, but keep talking about nothing. He should make no attempt to actually make a point to Raza's statements, and when Raza calls him out for, JD should argue that Raza's method of argument (nothing to do with the argument itself) made it too hard for JD to respond, so JD won't keep on topic until Raza changes his strategy.
Then we should blame Raza for not making his debate strategy more friendly to his opponent, saying he's killing the art of conversation and debate.
Every team has the trap in their back pocket. They have a lead halfway through the 3rd and don't have possession in the offensive zone, they back into the neutral zone.
When you hear players commenting to the press about the opposition shutting down the passing lanes, or clogging up the middle of the ice, guess what the other team is doing? They are trapping. Whether its a 1-3-1 or a 1-2-2, its irrelevant. Its the same thing.
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

Hey, don't mess with the Jersey organization, they had the AHL team who had the most points ever for a last place team last season. Actually, they had the worst team in two leagues. Lowest attendance in the ECHL, and lowest attendance in the AHL two years ago before they figured out the people of Lowell didn't want to spend money watching their crappy system and moved to Albany. Trenton was pretty pathetic to watch, and we got the pleasure 16 times.
