How is it possible, isn't he still Rangers property till July 1st, did they (him, his agents, the KHL) violate any rules by doing this?

Basically, he's Ranger's property, but I don't think there's any protection from them signing in Russia.

And for those of you wanting Boyle or Moulson back...they didn't do squat in the Kings system and that would not change. Just because they are scoring back east DOES NOT translate into stellar play in a system in which they were mis-managed and/or flat out sucked. They are thriving back east because they are being used to their strengths which Murray would NOT do. Having them back...you'd want them shipped back out in a month.
