the reason why he signs now is BECAUSE he can't even look to sign with another NHL team until July 1st. if YOU don't think he's even going to be attempting to, then you're high.

regardless of the player, ANYONE who follows up a poor season with a very serious knee injury is going to have a really hard time finding a deal on their terms. NO team is going to offer him a lot of money. the KHL deal enables him his out n the other direction, with plenty of financial certitude and a foot in the door for the Olympics after Russia's last disaster that stemmed from really stupid and weighted choices by the last selection committee.

It's pretty clear that Fro nailed somebody's wife and that somebody ain't happy about it. At least it appears so given the amount of bile spewed.

I guess if a member of your "clique" or the elite of LGK laces their posts with insults and "jagoffedness" it's okay. Whatever. You all are trying to ignore the fact that at this point in his career, Froloaf likely will become just another average Russian player who can't hack it long-term in the NHL.

But, hey, like you said, for Froloaf, it's better to wrap himself around the security blanket of the KHL NOW for that certitude thingy you talk about and the chance to fully convince the Russian Olympic committee with his stellar play in the KHL that he belongs on that team - **** the NHL, that ain't important.

This is a good move for him. The last 2 years haven't been that great for him, for reasons we've all debated endlessly. So he's not likely to get anything decent over here. So now he gets to play at home, make a lot more money, and will be able to show if he's still got any offense in him. And if he wants to come back anytime, it's not like those contracts haven't ever been broken.
