Back up and plan B in case/when Varlamov takes the dumpski. Plus I think they have to come up to the floor and they do not want to overcommit because their young'uns are coming due.

hey, i ain't justifying it... im with you. but i imagine that was the rationale for a team that went into today with NO goaltender and now leave with two.
