Wow someone using freedom of speech and sticking to his beliefs which happen to coincide with the founding of our nation. What a complete jerk, who does he think he is? I also can't believe he won't discuss his views at the hockey rink (you know, his job).....
Make public Facebook statements, but don't want people asking you about highly political and highly topical opinions? Works for a faceless person in Wisconsin, not so much for a professional famous athlete seen in tv commercials during lamestream media shows. At least back up your comments if you're so strong to poke your head out big guy. Have your opinions to your "friends, family and faith" but once you go FACEBOOK you are now international Timmy
Tsk tsk, you said a bad word...
The funniest part of all of it, is that nothing he said could be construed as offensive. Especially given the fact that it was WAY more respectful than the **** that comes out of 95% of your mouths when no one can hear you. For example... in the car.
Let's also not forget what the local Chic-fil-A did in Chino Hills for the Raboin family...
Not to mention the food tastes pretty damn good.

― Stephen King
I don't want to get into the politics of it (me saying that? jesus.) since I'm pretty passionate about this particular issue. . .
I still think he's a douche for doing this in the way he is. He's perfectly entitled to say what he feels, and hell, I encourage it. Just stand up and defend it when confronted. Don't make your teammates do it for you. If you're proud enough of your stance on an issue, don't hide when asked about it. You put it out there in the public domain, own it. That's the way to handle it.
