Let's also not forget what the local Chic-fil-A did in Chino Hills for the Raboin family...

Not to mention the food tastes pretty damn good.
There was nothing offensive said at all, which makes it absolutely hysterical.

I still think he's a douche for doing this in the way he is. He's perfectly entitled to say what he feels, and hell, I encourage it. Just stand up and defend it when confronted. Don't make your teammates do it for you. If you're proud enough of your stance on an issue, don't hide when asked about it. You put it out there in the public domain, own it. That's the way to handle it.
Maybe I missed something, but what exactly does he have to own up to or respond to? How exactly are his teammates having to defend him? What does he have to defend? He made a comment which is pretty darn black and white (as to his opinion). What more elaboration is needed? His mind isn't going to change. I don't get this running and hiding from the media stuff (unless I missed something).

Kind of contradicting yourself don't you think? He is fine to say what he wants, but can only do it if it is done in a certain way? Again, I don't know what there is to defend either.

When you're a public figure, and you make a statement about something that is a hot button issue, you're going to be asked about it. When you don't respond to it, or you choose to pretend you don't have an obligation, you put your teammates in the position of answering to the same question. You're either naive or stupid if you don't know this as a public figure. Tim Thomas is neither. He's just selfish.

When the media wanted to ask him about why he wasn't going to the white house, he refused and said he'd only answer hockey questions. You know who gets to only answer hockey questions? Hockey players that don't post on facebook about political topics. He's perfectly entitled to feel however he like about any issue whatsoever. Thing is, just like Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, you put your feet into the fire. . .you better not be surprised when it's hot.

As far as the "nothing offensive part", that's entirely up to a matter of perspective. Don't pretend like it isn't because he didn't come out and say he hates ***'s.

    .
He's free to take his stance and stick with his own beliefs just like we're all free to call him out if we want. That's the wonderful thing about this place.

Funny thing that he went to school in Burlington, VT which is like the Berkeley of the Northeast. Politically, mind you.

If I remember Live Aid correctly, Freddie was making a specific hand motion with the microphone while making that face

I'm disappointed no one has started a photoshop of Thomas as the construction worker in The Village People.

Psh! Mustaches aren't a gay guy's thing anymore.

    They are a hipster one.

Haha! Maybe Thomas is a stereotypical NE liberal, but is trying to be ironic!
