    Default HBO Sports special

    The last couple of days I have heard an advertisement on Klac about an HBO sports special.
    An in-depth look at the plane crash that killed an entire Russian hockey team, before and after
    as well as an inside look at the NHL players who were involved.
    I don't know if I heard it right, but I believe it is on Feb 21st 10pm.

    Anyone else hear this or confirm it? Is it a repeat?
    I don't have HBO and I really want to see this.

    I actually missed the show, but thankfully with around 10 HBO channels, they repeat it often and have the DVR set for the episode replay tonight at 9:30 on HBO2WHD. I'll recap the show sometime tomorrow.

    Saw it last night. It was pretty well done and was a good 20-25 minutes long. They spent a lot of time talking to the KHL VP (I think) and Salai's wife and showed their kids and the cameras they had set up in the house so that he could watch them play while he was on the road. Also showed some images I hadn't seen before from player funerals like Demitra, Vasecek, and Strastins. Of course a lot was said about the backwards aviation system in Russia and they even touched on Cherepanov's death and how they weren't at all ready to save his life. Showed the video of him being carried off in people's arms rather than a stretcher. I'll let others chime in as I'm forgetting some other things but all in all it was pretty interesting and very sad.
