Barclay Center looks nice, but they also chose not to design it with hockey in mind, so the corners at one end will have some bad sight lines. Also, it will have the smallest seating capacity in the NHL at 14,500.

Do you really think with Wang as owner they would draw more than 14,500?

Supply and demand- right now demand is LOW and supply is high so prices are low. I wonder how many comps are given per game. With ONLY 14.5K demand will go up far fewer comps and prices will go up. They make far more in a 14.5 arena than a 18K arena until they start winning and filling the 14.5 nightly.
They have averaged about 13K the last 5 years and that is using announced figures, we know how accurate those are. 14.5 will still be a big improvement

Well while they averaged only 13,191 last year, they drew over 14,500 in 14 of 41 games. They haven't average 14,500 since the 87-88 season.

What is an absolutely stunning fact is that you will now have three NHL arenas all within about 13 miles of one another....
