Of the 4 who got in, Bure was definitely most deserving to be in the Hall of Fame. He was one of the most exciting players I've seen in my life, despite his shortened career. And of course Sakic was an easy choice. Oates, I'm a little surprised because he was always seen as the 2nd guy behind the superstar goal scorers, but no one can deny his numbers or how he actually made those goal scorers so much better. Sundin, I'm not sure. Maybe he deserves to be in but not before Shanahan. If he wasn't a Leaf would he get in this quickly?
Lindros is hard to say. If you look at how his junior hockey career started, all the hype of him being the "Next One", and how his career was eventually cut short, maybe you say he didn't live up to expectations. But in those few years with the Flyers when he won the MVP & was part of the Legion of Doom line, he was the most dominant player in the league. Is that short brilliance enough to get him into the HOF? I don't know. You could compare him to Cam Neely getting in with a short but great career but Neely didn't have the baggage Lindros does.
