And work on re-signing him for cheap for a long term line center duty.
    Say 2 mill?
    Sure.

Sure, upgrade at 4th line center over Derek Armstrong should be Dean Lombardi's highest priority.

Why the **** would the Kings want Morrison? That's a serious question.

You need to change your way of thinking...This team CANT have a "4th" line. Our top 2 lines aren't good enough.

We need 3 second lines 1 third line...

Make the Zus Calder and Simmer the fourth unit and build a another top 3 line..why not use one of these basically free guys off waivers, or make a deal today or tomorrow...

    Satan Kopi Fro

    Sully Stoll Purcell

    Brown Moller (trade)

    Calder/Richardson Zus Simmer

No Army, No Ivanans. If anyone offers anything for Calder and Gauthier, away they go.

We can't afford a throw away 4th unit...we need to roll 4 good lines.

Have to agree. It's not that he does not give good effort, because he does EVERY NIGHT. He just lacks skill. I really think Derek is a class act, heck if I was DL i would keep him on the payroll for his locker room attitude. The truth is our fourth line needs an overhaul in a huge way.

You all talk about priorities, well this is a priority, albeit really small in comparison to acquiring a 30-40 goal scorer, it is equally important in the teams construction. Consider how many penalties the 4th line has taken, Zeiler, Ivanans obviously don't help, but that is who we have on our 4th line and you can't escape the fact that we have LOST games because of penalties and poor play from the 4th line.

You can't have 3 epic lines and then crappy crap come on the ice against the best in the game or against an adequate 4th line (see NJ, DET, SJ, PHI) or they will capitilize. How many times this season have you heard some outlandish name called for scoring a goal only to realize it was the 4th line against the 4th line with maybe the first line jumping in on the change.
You have to be solid top to bottom, you have to know that your 4th line is not going to give up a goal, get trapped in it's zone or take a blatant penalty right in front of the ref. The purpose of the 4th line is to play 10-12 solid minutes of Hockey, work a forecheck, bring some energy while the other three lines get some air back in their lungs.

I don't feel comfortable with someone like boyle at CENTER on the 4th line, especially with our system having our center as a more defensive role. You take a rookie and put him out there in that role and he is going to feel totally bogged down and have a ****ty attitude. Put a veteran in who understand the role and create a few scoring chances.
Give me Morrison at center and boyle and moller on the wings (then you have detroit style 4th line)

That's abominable. Anyhow, in case you haven't figured it out, Armstrong is like that cockroach that just won't go away. Coaches love him for some reason, so I don't see him in the pressbox much this season, whoever the Kings trade, trade for, call up or send down. Deal with it.

I do agree that he is like a cockroach, just like his supporters.

He is brutal...sure he tries real hard..but he sucks.

Send him to live under another team's sink.

I'm not an Armstrong supporter, never have been. He is what he is.

Read my dissertation above. Think it pretty much sums up what your both saying. Gotta have depth players not cockroaches.
