    Default Ilya Kovalchuk injury?

First off, if the news I am requesting has already been posted in the forum please send me in the right direction so that I may find my answer.

So obviously I missed the news, but what was Kovalchuk's injury that caused him to be a non-factor in the Stanley Cup Finals? Thanks in advance for the answer.

DeBoer confirmed what The Star-Ledger has reported since the second round series against the Flyers that Kovalchuk was slowed by a herniated disc in his back.

I love the bickering between the fans about how Kovi/Bernier lost them the series. It's fun to read a team's blog and know that they're complaining about the same crap we do, but the difference is that the Kings won it this time.

    :-)
