Yes the are... it's the only way the Isles are staying and the taxpayers know this, but there is a pay-back plan in place to refund taxpayers with the revenue from this venture. Lord knows LI taxes are already thru the roof but the Isles are the ONLY professional sports team on Long Island. knew they were moving there, but that's not good enough. When mitchrock was a youngun, I used to see Dr. J play for the Nets in Nassau Colliseum. Nets need to move back to the Island and demand the NBA go to the Red, White and Blue Basketballs to honor the old ABA.
