Thread: Islanders thirds?

Not enough **** going on. They need to put something on the blue area of the socks. I suggest some random sequence of shapes on the inside of a hockey puck. Also, have the NHL logo taking up 1/3 of the jersey on the front and back on the bottom. In Yellow.

Gross.

Do they, like, play in a woman's softball league after their NHL games?

These are pretty badass hockey jerseys for baseball teams.

And I complained about the latest Kings jersey <sigh>...both jerseys are ugly. Sometimes change isn't necessary.

As to the "measured amount of success" I would add the Kings to that list. What have they done exactly to warrant 25,000 uniform changes in the last 10 years? To me, it's just a sign of a weak franchise....how many times has Detroit or Montreal or NJ or Chicago changed their uniforms?

Well, 3 of those 4 teams are original 6 teams. None of the original 6 have ever really veered off from their mainstay's over the years. Yeah, some of them had some wacky designs 90 years ago, but, well, that was 90 years ago, haha. With the Devils, I know Lou has stated he'd never make any major changes to the Devils uniforms and he's kept his word.

Really, it all boils down to profit. Third jerseys were created in 1996 to generate more income from merch sales and it worked. Now everyone's getting thirds and changing their jersey designs on an almost regular basis when in the past, they changed them much less often. It's greed when it comes down to it but people are buying the stuff, so, what are you going to do? You know?

Absolutely FUGLY. Just like our primary jerseys. Black should be outlawed as a new jersey color for teams that never had it as part of their original color scheme.
