Just read this and this is the kind of grit this team has been missing for a bit. There are a lot of undersized Swedes coming up and last year a lot of the team got pushed around. If Hunter can actually stay healthy I already like him. I remember him giving the Devs fits in the past. Add Janssen, Boulton and now Hunter, w/Pelley and some of the younger d who can drop gloves, and we have finally got a little sandpaper in the mix. Zach is either gonna stay or be gone, can't worry about that now...only time will tell. W/ a head coach who should last a few seasons this team is starting to round into shape. :hockey1:Let's drop the damned puck already.

Well that didn't last long. Sorry to see Whitey's tenure end like this. A little surprised that Lou seems intent on going pretty young on the bottom end of the defense. Still unsure if Salvador is going to be back, and if so, what he is going to have left. Lot of speculation on my Devils board about how, with the current ownership pickle, and the loss of revenue from missing the playoffs have forced Lou to make these moves...I get that, but surely they have to realize that a good start out of the gate is very important this season. And a turnaround in fortunes is almost necessary to get new co-ownership and ZP convince/committed to staying. Very interesting offseason so far.
