Personally I would have liked Matt Read. That dude's speed and knack for scoring is legit.
Bye bye Bernier. It had to be done. =\
Anyway, I honestly don't know what to make of the trade since I don't care about the Maple Leafs.
It's easy to look at numbers and assume, but you gotta factor in the East Coast/West Coast hockey difference. One could say, "Yeah! Frattin scores and Scrivens is average." But you could also say, "Maybe Frattin doesn't score as much on the West Coast but Scrivens could potentially have better numbers behind a Kings defense." As with all the trades, we have to give it time.
Best of luck to Bernier. Hell, maybe he will have terrible numbers over there too since he has to play behind the Maple Leafs defense. Either way, I hope Toronto gives him a legitimate shot at the #1 spot. Lots of pressure there for sure, but I think he can handle it.

While it seems like most of you are allergic to the "like" button, I just want to personally say thanks for looking anyway.
I still find it amazing the Kings (that's right the KINGS) have these assets on their overall roster. I remember when the roster looked more like a Beer League...and that wasn't all that long ago.
Here's a good video that casts a great light about Frattin's character, loyalty, and personal grit. He made a mistake but instead of taking the easy way out, he stuck it out and clawed his way beck.
This article talks about what his mistakes were and how he fought his way back.
