Team Bernier's colors are now blue and white with a Maple Leaf on the chest. So please post your comments in the NHL Talk forum.

    Thank you.

He didn't say winning the cup was miserable. He didn't say playing for the Kings was miserable. He said, when asked how badly he wanted his workload to increase, that he was "pretty miserable". As a guy with his sights set on a number 1 spot, and being stuck behind a clear starter, and being given very little playing time, I can understand why he'd use that word. Perhaps read the entire article over at the insider instead of taking one quote out of context. Big thanks to Mike Johnston over at sportsnet for his sensationalist style "journalism".

    Default 7th Overall?

The Oilers are reportedly willing to give up the 7th overall pick in this year's draft for Cory Schneider but the Canucks--having no hope of dumping Luongo--are holding out for one of Edmonton's top young forwards per TSN's Insider Trading. Granted Schneider is valued more than Bernier, but I got to think that the 7th overall was available for Lombardi given their pursuit of JB and CS's previously thought-of unavailability.

With all due respect to Frattin, Scrivens, a second-round pick, and $500,000 in cap space, I'd much rather have the 7th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft even if we had to throw in an Alec Martinez. With the 7th overall, we could have possibly packaged Kyle Clifford for a shot at 3rd overall for Jonathan Drouin.

Sure you would rather have that. So would anyone. So why wouldn't DL? The FACTS are he took the best deal possible which pretty much tells me that EDM did NOT offer their #7 pick to the Kings for JB. Simple.
