I know he's a good player and that his role will be different in Carolina than it was in Pitt, but I think it's premature to assume he can be THAT guy when he hasn't been yet and just throw a huge contract like that at him. I'd be ok with $5M, but getting up to $6M and $7M is too risky for my liking. Plus I'm sure he'd sign for less to stay with his brother.
