    Default Kesler traded to Anaheim

For Bonino, Sbisa, 24th overall and a swap of 3rd rounders.

Source: it's all over the web, TSN etc.

Not sure if Perry will be showing Kesler new diving tricks, or the other way around.

Decent return given the circumstances for the Canucks but could also be a great addition for Anaheim. Bonino was third in team scoring as a second line center, and in fact had more points than Kesler did last season.

Glad to see Bonino somewhere else

Also glad Kesler was NOT traded to Chicago

Even before this trade, I thought they should go after a top 4 defenseman. I wonder who they are going to go after now.

I guess it will be a decent trade for the Ducks for the next 2-3 years. All in all, though, I don't see a long term gain for the Ducks. With the nature of his injury problems, I don't see them going away. It is different then Gaborik because he will have more demanded of him as a 2C. The Ducks offensively boil down to Perry, Getzlaf and then Kesler. Gaborik has a better cast around him in Kopitar, Carter, Williams, Brown and maybe Richards, Toffoli and Pearson. It is still a improvement for the Ducks, though.

They did have to move a lot of youth to get him. I think the Kings still beat the Ducks and in a couple of years the Ducks will wish they had Bonino and Sbisa.

We'll see how he does in Anaheim, but he was Vancouver's best player for years (at least when healthy)

Don't come arguing the Sedins are better.

Definitely going to matchup better now vs the Western Conference with Kesler and Getzlaf down the middle

Ryan Kesler NHL Salary Contract History He has 2 years left on his contract, taking him to 31. I wonder what will happen to him then, seeing as he will be 31. If he gets banged up, I think the Ducks may regret this.
