Look, no one really cares about him going and playing for another team. What pisses people off is the charade perpetrated during the negotiations by Grossman. It was never about anything else other than getting as close to $100M in 10 years as possible for Kovalchuk. Please don't insult my intelligence by saying it was about NJ being a proven winner, blah, blah, blah. Kovalchuk is certainly smart enough (at least as a hockey player) to see which teams are built for success over the next 5 years or so, and NJ isn't one of them.

Well, look at ya now. I know this is year one of 15 but its still funny. I'm so glad this drama is not killing the Kings locker room - whatever it is. All these rumors about him not showing up for meetings, practices whatever. If thats true then I'm sticking with my decision from this summer - Do. Not. Want.

Parise on the other hand I would take in a heartbeat. So if the Devils need some cap space, I'd take him. They can have Kovy.

I never wanted him, still don't want him, thank you DL for being smart and keeping the team you have built for a better tomorrow. I do not believe in "one man" teams. Boo'ing him this Saturday? what a waste of breathe and energy. Just watch some hockey, ignore that Kovy exists (unless he scores on us). I never had beef with the Devils. Once in a awhile i would root for them. Hate to see how they have fallen apart. They were good....consistently good. Hope this kovy deal doesn't completely ruin them. When I see teams struggle I have to sympathize because the Kings have been down in the ranks, so we all know what it feels like.
