Dean Lambardi is going againt his philosophy if he trades for kovy now and mortgages away all those young kids. they're still at a devolopment stage and the thrashers are salavating at getting they're hands on them . Why not wait till july and throw big money at him then. no mater where he gets traded he gonna want to see what he's worth in the open maket . He's starting panic I've been waiting for years for a cup I can't wait just a bit more here . Don't do it man don't mess with the chemistry we got here.

Just please don't trade Simmonds.....anyone else on that list is fine, just no to Simmer.

I still don't see the Kings coughing up enough assets to land Kovy.

Because 28 teams in the league are thinking the same thing. A trade actually gets you the player and, in theory, benefits both teams. Free agent bidding usually gets you squat, especially if you are Dean Lombardi.

its impossible not to love CBGB/Matt Barry's enthusiasm and he certainly has had his fair share of "scoops" on his blog.

That said, his last two articles mentioning Kovalchuk have all been speculation, or the reporting of other people's speculation. And I remember a bit ago that he was saying DL was not interested in Kovy and that we should be looking more towards Hartnell, Roy etc.

Having said all that, I would be willing to wager that when the deal does/does not happen we will have CBGB give us the scoop before the Kings "Insider"...

EDIT: now Eklund is reporting that the Kings almost had a deal for Ray Whitney two weeks ago that "fell through". Now they are in on Kovy which is "distracting" them from Whitney....LOL

I've said it before, I'll say it again: CBGB is just looking for blog hits. He may have some insider information but it's virtually pointless if you have to wade through all of his bull**** to see that information.
