Gotta admire their spirit. I wish Murray had been replaced at the same time Jonny Mac was, then the Kings might not be the laughing stock of the NHL right now.
I have to be realistic. Pretty sure most of the games they have left are against playoff teams. Sure, they scored 3 yesterday, but that was against Columbus. Kovy appears to have gone cold and the frustration is starting to show. Zubrus, Elias have not been contributing either. The 4 points lost to Ottawa in the last few weeks will probably be the difference. But, as we have seen so far...anything is possible. Maybe the letdown will cause Buffalo to hit a prolonged losing streak, but that's a lot to expect. Regardless, I am proud of what they have accomplished.
In other news, while I don't think Terry Murray is the answer for the Kings, they are far from a 'laughingstock' like my Devils were during the first half of the season.
Gotta figger Paddy was still celebrating the holiday when he posted that.
Yeah...all the games he got gwg's in were pretty meaningless. Continue to be an ass, it's no skin off my teeth...but before you go looking at other teams players and question whether they disappear when the pressures on, you may want to look inward. There are a few Kings I could point to who have a consistent lack of 'crunchtime' goals. Like I said, keep being an ass if you want. It's something you do well and we all have to play to our strengths.![]()
