Ok , so % , how likely is Kovi going to talk to kings again? 0%, 50%, 100% ? Or does he have to just save face and stick with NJ?

I mention it earlier, but I think this is a strong possibility. It's in Kovalchuk's and the PA's best interest to move on ASAP. If they file a grievance Kovy would be in limbo longer. The PA and the NHL would need to agree on an Independent Arbitrator, they haven't been able to do so in five years. That issue alone could draw this out all summer.
If Kovalchuk still wants to play for the Devils, they (the Devils) would find it difficult to negotiate a new contract until they know exactly what their cap hit is going to be. If a grievance is filed their cap ceiling will be in limbo until there is a ruling.
0% Chance.
After his comments he said there is NO WAY he will ever be in a Kings jersey. His whole comment saying after meeting management and some of the players it made his decision very easy. And you know where he signed so that says it all.
He simply wasn't impressed with our team or management nor the city. Whether it was still only about money it doesn't matter. What was said is said. Do you think the players are going to want to play with someone who really never wanted to be there?
If anything he will sign elsewhere for 1-3 yrs for $8-9 mil then sign with NJ once they clear up some cap.
No, I don't blame him for taking the money.
The emotional responses expressed all across King-dom are for the most part unrealistic and do not reflect real-world choices. Fanatics of athletes and celebrities live in some kind of bizzaro world, where everything that doesn't go their way is somehow akin to being slapped in the face with a giant turd.
"Player X doesn't want to play with our team for less money? He's an ***hole, and although I can't shoot him the next time he's in town, I'll stand up for three hours and guzzle beer and boo him until I'm blue in the face. That'll show him."
0? That's a bit extreme. I think people should stop getting their hopes up that he'll all of a sudden come here again, but honestly, what was he going to say? "I wanted to play in LA, but they didn't pay me enough"? Of course he's going to say he always wanted to return to NJ, etc, the same way he'd say "I always wanted to move to LA" had he signed here.
No way we can speculate accurate percentages, but 0 is a tad low, I think.
I wasn't sure if I wanted him on the Kings before but I definitely don't want him on the Kings now.
I don't give a pooh: where the guy signs, at this point his best bet might be to let this go and just sign a 1 year deal with another team at league max and try again next summer, or go back the Russia and sign with the KHL. That said, you can't take anything he said at the presser seriously. I mean what is he going to say? "I really wanted to sign with the Kings but the Devils offered me a wheel barrel full of cash!"
