How much more mileage is he gonna try to get out of this line?

If he's still spouting it at the next breakfast with the GM, I hope one of you locals lets him have it.

It's not that I want him to pull the trigger on something lame, just stop trying to brag about how he's now in position to do something tradewise when he doesn't really seem to want to.

That seems to be exactly what you, and others, want.

It's foolish to think the guy is doing NOTHING all day. He's making calls and trying to make deals; they just haven't been the right fit. Teams know we have holes, and will attempt to use that as leverage. Dean won't be impatient, and won't take a deal that he believes he isn't getting the upper hand in. And yet, a bunch of people get cranky about his inactivity.

If you don't want him to do "something lame", why are you criticizing him if that is all that's on the table at the moment? Or are you really arguing that he isn't trying?
