I said this before, but I could see this Kovy-Devils relationship go south very quickly.

NJ in a tough spot with new season ticket owners. If they end up w/out Kovy, do they offer refunds?

I want to know who pays the legal fees for the arbitration. Since the NHL won, does it come out of the NHLPA? Or does it all fall under the NHL's operating costs and give reason for fining the Devils?

I don't know how much more of a cap hit NJ will be able to stand.

Kovy kind of screwed himself by saying it wasn't about money, so he kind of has to take less. If he doesn't, I guess it was about the money.

I wouldn't go as far as take the cup away but maybe have the restructure the contract, wasn't sure if they had the right to do so. Maybe the Hossa deal is the last line of where it can be acceptable.

So, how could you go back and say a contract that was previously ok by you is now against the rules? You couldn't. Not only that, but what makes the Hossa deal ok? At the end of the day, all of those contracts were salary cap circumvention.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens when it comes down to that.

Personally I didn't believe that to begin with, and if he's losing millions up millions because of this, it's going to be about the money for him.

So much for the "experts" who had the NHLPA winning this case as a certainty.
