I've stated my civil unrest of Kings latency on the FA market, one where we woldn't have to give anything up other than loot, which we apparently have plenty of at the moment.
I'm not going to get caught up in the whole "low-ball" gate as I was just egging on the OP I replied to if you want to be fair.
My point is DL is just not that kind of guy that gets IK kind of players.
DL is like a single mother, frugal yet sensible doing most of his shopping at Big Lots for the most part. Yes, he'll finally go to Best Buy and overpay for that awesome Flat screen tv that the neighbors are talking about- but thats only after his many 4" serviceable color tv's lose all reception or break after a year or two.
That's my analogy-i'm sticking to it.
That's DL in a lowball nut shell. (I'm going by reports of others that have seen him in the shower--I'm married to the hot German chick with the stein).

Willie Mitchell is a top 4 defenseman and would love to see the the Kings add him.
Willie Mitchell (ice hockey) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Perfect partner for JMFJ?Mitchell plays in the style of a stay-at-home defenceman.[56] He has established himself as the Canucks' top shutdown defenceman, being matched up against opposing teams' best players and spending a lot of time on the penalty kill.[57][58] He has usually formed a defensive pairing on the Canucks with the often offensive-minded Kevin Bieksa.[59] Bieksa has credited Mitchell with teaching him to be more aware of game situations before jumping into the rush
DL, please do not make any moves until after training camp starts when teams are unloading players for hardly anything.
Regards,
I thought this was a kovalchuk thread. Seems like everyone is talking about everything but Kovy.... Mitchell, Cap, Kaberle, etc.
