I'm fairly sure that I read in the CBA (and CBA experts correct me if I'm way off) that the NHL could investigate a SPC at any time. The day its turned in, one year later, or ten years later. I'm waiting for the day Hossa retires with four years left on his, and the NHL steps forward and says "this contract was obviously meant to be breached from day one, and unless the players finishes it out, all the team victories over the life of the contract will be null and void. Please remove your 2010 Stanley Cup banner." And more power to them. At that point you know it was not made in good faith, you have proof. These teams and players have made their beds, now go lie in them.
