I would love Gaborik as long as Williams goes the other way as part of it. But this deal makes 0 sense for NY. He was their only offense last year and they are going to trade him after 1 season after putting up 86pts and with 42 goals? He played 76 games too so his major surgery he did seems to have helped.

NY would only do this IF they knew 100% they could get Kovi which isn't happening.

Doubtful. He said we'd all be happy about it. I'm sure not many of us would be happy about Briere at that cap hit. The only names that come to mind are Gaborik(doubtful) and Carter...maybe Savard. Could it be a defenseman?
