Kovalchuk Part VI-The Return of Lombardi?-UPDATE IK A Devil again thread in NHL TALK

Where in God's name to you find these pictures, lol.

I haven't been on in a while, so could someone update me on the Kovalchuck Situation, Is he only negoiating with NJ, or are we in play with Kovy as well. We also need another Defenseman because of Matt Greenes injury. I"m assuming we could see Thomas Hickey or Colten Teubert on this years defense core. Lots of people also complained about losing Frolov and get Ponikarousky. Poni better number than Frolov last year, he scored 21 goals and had 50 Points. Thts not bad for a 3rd line player. Frolov's numbers are dropping year after year, ,I dont think he will ever hit the 30 goal mark again, and he'lll be way worst in New York because of the type of game the play. New York is where Stars go to die...Eric Lindros , Chris Drury, Wade Redden, Scot Gomez, etc. Drury put up great numbers in Buffalo, and Gomez was a 85 point man each year in NJ. So now comes in Frolov, I bet he gets around the 40 point range. This will be Frolov's 8th year. Now loook at his Point Totals for the last 4 years.

In 06/07 he had his best year with 71 Pts, then in 07/08 he had 67 Pts, In 08/09 he went down to 59 Pts, and 09/2010 he had 51. So I think he is way past his best now.

Do not assume you will see Teubert anywhere near the Kings this year. That would be a losing bet.

I love bacon as much as the next guy and although I never had a Montecristo sandwich (on the bucket list now), I would strongly recommend a Montecristo Number 2 to any cigar lovers out there. :yo:

I know a top notch defensemen that can be had easily, but he comes with a big price tag. Brian Campbell from Chicago... Chicago still needs to give Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook long term deals , and I think Patrick Sharp is going to go off this season, he will get more ice time because of all the players that were let go. So he will be asking for nice contract . They've tried to move Campbell before, but he makes over 6 million dollars. I wonder if they would take Quick off our hands for Campbell, only if their was some sort of way of them pay so much of Campnells contract and we pay the rest. But I dont think you can do that.

If I was Lombradi I would've be knocking on Selanne's door long ago before he signed with the Ducks. Selanne can still put up 75 - 80 pts.

The reasonable thing to do is get Willy Mitchell, and why hasn't anyone signed Brendan Witt, he is one big SOB, and is so tough to play against. The Islanders put him on waivers a while back, but he can help this team.

Also..Can someone tell me any news on Kovalchuck, is there a chance he will sign with us?
