Let's just say (even though he was signed by Gainey) Cammy is a perfect Pierre Gauither type player and Cammy's personality fits in perfectly for les Canadians ... totally agree with Darby here. You have to move Cammy everytime to strengthen an obvious area of weakness the Kings had at the time.

Sure Cammy is leading the Canadians right now and good for him but Cammy is, was and always will be about Cammy.

    1. Cammalleri went to arbitration. That's pretty much NHL code for "I don't want to be here, trade me."

    2. Hindsight is 20/20. Yes, Cammalleri is having a super season. Is every ex-King? Is O'Sullivan? Visnovsky? Boyle? Purcell? Segal? Quincey? Armstrong? Moulson?

Can any one of us look back to when he was traded and say " Goddamn it! That guy is going to be a superstar in the 2009-10 SC Playoffs!! WTF are we trading him???!!!!"

How'd he do in Calgary, eh? Why wasn't he re-signed?????

    So, let this **** go.

you don't see the contradiction here. 'cause from my point of view it couldn't be any more obvious. but go ahead, hammer away, why let a couple of atypical, reasonable posts get in the way of your usual lunatic rants.

not taking anything away from cammy, but did you all see pittsburgh's D? i mean, cammy is a scorer. he is going to put the puck away if you give him time and space between the circles. wouldn't you have to say that his success has at least something to do with the caliber of the defenses that his team has faced?

You were a huge LOLBarbera supporter as I recall. Why the wet panties over ex-Kings?

Why does poor LaBarbera have to be brought in as an example?

He was used wrong here, he's being used properly in Phoenix and they got results out of it. Let LOLBarbera go.

Oh, and they're dry and downey fresh, thx!

And actually, I don't think trading Cammy made that list. I think it was more like he waited too long to trade him.
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

Just trying to point out the credibility of the poster. If you can't see that, well, your LOLBarbera colored shades are still on.

And to the second statement, same should apply to Cammalleri, right? He's not on the Kings so really this thread belongs in NHL Talk, right? Both ex-Kings. Nothing to discuss in this forum.
