Lucy! Some Habs players have got some 'splanin to do! [merged]

The Team 990 is reporting that some significant news that will not be flattering to the Canadiens franchise will be reported tomorrow morning.

Apparently several other news outlets in Montreal are now also saying similar things. The Montreal forum on HFBoards is nearing core meltdown with all the rumors flying about. It'll be interesting to see what it winds up being.

I just read through the thread on the main board on HF, and if all it is is a bunch of players partying too much, talk about blowing it out of proportion. But that's Montreal for ya.

But we'll see.

The rumors are all over the place... everything from a trade to a bunch of scandalous photos of players.

It's probably news that the McSorely stick incident was rigged by the Habs, the NHL is revoking the Canadiens Stanley Cup and giving it to the Kings. ;)

Here's the cliff notes so far.. .French TV has said this is something that absolutely tarnishes the name of the club, Jacques Demers says that he's "thinking of Beliveau tonight.... hoping this is all a dream," Michel Bergeron says "hockey is secondary at the moment." Meanwhile, on Team 990, Tony Marinaro says that a French newspaper will publish an article about the Canadiens night life tomorrow morning.

Seriously... they must have boinked a little boy or something. I don't see what their nightlife could possibly entail that would be so shameful. Maybe they were cheating on their wives?

What a mess this team is.

Guy Lafluer has gone on record saying they shouldn't have benched Kovalev and if it were him he'd never play for the Habs again.

Rumors starting to get ugly. Apparently, one media outlet is reporting that Montreal police are standing by at Dorval International Airport ready to arrest players as they get off the plane tonight.
