i don't disagree, but i think Burke wins the trade running away. Schenn had a lot of trouble in Toronto, so i'm afraid now he's gonna be that guy who's busting ass to get up ice, and by the time he just gets past the red line, he's gonna see the play coming back the other way and be forced to turn and burn... i think he's too slow for that team's style.

Perhaps the Flyers should hire Murray for the Flyers and not the Phantoms.

He's a good hockey player for sure, but the idea of bringing in his brother is not going to do wonders for PHI. If you look at the history of brothers and other siblings playing on the same team, you will see more fizzles than success stories. To me, this pairing of brothers will be a fizzle.

JVR will prove to his former team that they screwed up by trading him. It's like PHI panicks with their team and trades the wrong player, and doesn't give them the time needed to get that 'level'.

My opinion about what teams can compete in this league now that we've won, which has proven that Lombardi's way of building a team works, is totally different.

Philly has all that home grown talent, and rather than wait a few years and letting it gel before adding to it, they keep tweaking their team every offseason.

I'm hoping he is being hired for the Flyers and just has to stop in Adirondack first...

you figure that by now they'd be able to get their bus out of the mud after stacking all the goaltenders they've thrown under it.

I feel like this trade will favor the Flyers... but only because the other part involved is the Leafs. and they suck.
