Yup. Hilarious how badly Howson has played his hand regarding Nash. Carolina and Philly likely now out of Nash sweeps, San Jose has indicated they've moved on. Now Howson has to go back to the Sharks and reengage, likely lower asking price. Not a bad move for Philly, which appears like a precursor to another move. Toronto needed a player like JVR and probably win the deal overall.

If Ryan is really on the market, the Ducks are probably just as hurt by the trade as Columbus. Assuming they don't involve Ryan in a trade for Nash, God forbid.

I think Philly sends the Schenns to anaheim for B Ryan

I think Holmgren got the short end of the stick there. Who knows, maybe Schenn steps up his game playing in a different environment and with his bro.

I like this deal for Philly. Toronto continues to spin their wheels.

I wouldn't trade Braden Schenn straight up for Ryan let alone his brother along with him. Then again this is the Flyers we're talking about here.

I think this is an even trade because IMO many underrate Schenn and overrate JVR. But it is what each of the teams need....

Toronto needs a center. If they felt like they had to trade Schenn, that's the position they should have filled.
