I always favored him over Boyle and Purcell from the little we saw of him here.
In his defense, though he plays with some very talented linemates, and this gives him some excellent opportunities, his success is in no way a result of being "carried." Moulson just has the benefit of playing in a system he is well-suited for, flowing, up-tempo, heavy forechecking, where he can capitalize on other team's mistakes. The games I've seen this year, and what I remember from him in the past, he always seems to be in the right spot, whether pushing home a rebound or deflecting a shot in front of the net. Great nose for the net.
What I'll be interested to see is if he is able to keep up this pace when opposing teams start giving him more respect and try to lock him down.
