Default Max Pacioretty hit on Boychuck

Watched it a couple of times and I can't help but feel that because a stretcher was involved Player safety will be involved too. But if there was no injury there wouldn't be anyone except for the guys on the ice talking about it.

    2min boarding call was correct.

The hit was not vicous in anyway but Boychuk did get span into the boards in a bad way.

This is the part which worries me about player safety getting involved. Not saying there wasn't a penalty, but this instance I think you could say is one where nobody watching the hit line up would think it would turn out quite like that.

I was watching NHL Tonight last night and they had Max Pacioretty on and he said he felt awful, and when he saw the stretcher come out he said he wanted to puke. I don't think he honestly had any ill intent at all.

It's an unfortunate play, but he hit him from the side. The ref wasn't going to call anything until he saw Boychuk down on the ice. I don't think that's even a minor.

Do you think Shanny was watching/listening? That's the first thing I thought of.
