Messier gets $6 million settlement from canucks

Vancouver was short on character so they paid a premium to bring Messier in. When I hear their interest in Shane Doan, I shake my head and wonder if they'll ever learn...

The Kings caught a lot of flak for the way Vancouver fans perceived we treated Cloutier. Yet the Kings payed every penny of that useless contract and never complained about it. Vancouver should not have given Messier the clause that would compensate him if the value of the franchise increased over the life of his contract. That was dumb!
