Somewhere JR is laughing his ass off.
That's why I said I "wanted to" and not that "I did". Please read again. What I wrote simply meant I understood Milbury wanting to protect his child.
The one incident in which I wished the coach had gotten involved was a very dangerous play with obvious attempt to injure by a kid who was a repeat offender.
I am in no way exonerating Milbury or defending assaulting a child. However, you guys are hanging him before hearing the facts. I know he has anger issues, but let's wait for more to come out.
Pffft. My own father grabbed me by the helmet and gave me a shake for being an ******* at homeplate when I was 11.
I deserved it and my pop got applause for doing it.
Maybe I should have called a lawyer.
Milbury is a jerk and none-too-bright, but is this criminal charges worthy?
p.s. Next pitch I hit a triple and gave my old man the stink-eye from 3rd. I was a fun kid.![]()
I am gleefully amused that a guy who lives to refer to the Sedins as sisters or Thelma and Louise just got charged for fighting with a 12 year old. I do not care at all what the fact are, as long as his schtick is gone from CBC for good.

I was speaking from experience. Both when he was in school and when playing hockey, my son got into trouble all the time and I did make the mistake of getting pissed and involved. Learned the hard way, it's just not the smart thing to do at all.
