Thread: Milbury Charged With Assault And Battery On A 12-Year Old

A former Boston Bruin and current TV analyst has been charged with assault and battery on a child.
Michael Milbury, who currently works as a hockey analyst for Versus NHL, was accused of assaulted a 12-year-old youth hockey player at the Dexter School Ice Rink in Brookline last week.
Milbury is an assistant coach of a local hockey team, and the alleged victim is a player from an opposing team.

The incident allegedly occurred at the end of the Winter Classic between the Boch Blazers for whom Milbury coaches and his son plays forward vs. the Boston Junior Black Hawks. It is alleged that after Milbury’s son and a player for the Black Hawks got into a scrape on the ice, Milbury charged out onto the rink and verbally berated and grabbed and shook the 12-year-old opposing player

I remember plenty of times when I wanted to beat the crap out of dirty playing kids who were seriously endangering my son on the basketball court. I remember one extreme incident after which I told the coach he was a complete wimp for not coming to the defense of his players.

We don't know any facts other than the charge. Much depends on what was actually happening in the fight. I don't agree with getting physical with children but I do agree with defending his 12 year-old kid.

It will be interesting to watch as more is revealed about the incident.

Funny thing is, that's among the less crazy things that he's done.

i was thinking that beside some other s*** he's done, the only other thing that beats this was when Roger Clemens threw at his son.

Maybe the 12 year old was an Islanders fan and told him he sucked as a GM.

If Barnaby can getting canned at ESPN for DUI I would expect Milbury gets dumped with his network as well...besides Milbury sucks as a commentator...Barnaby was far better.
