Modano announces plans to retire after 21 NHL seasons

I always liked him, best of luck in whatever he goes on to do.

Classy move by Dallas to let him retire a Star.

Live in Dallas so I had to listen to one of my friends man-love for Mo, but yeah he was an awesome player for the Stars, kind of dickey though that they didn't sign him last year for just one year so he could stay a Dallas Star. Oh well, great career, one of the best American players.

I'm just glad all those stops by Mr. Perfect didn't affect the guy's confidence.

Loved Modano. He had personality and played a great uptempo game. Definitely time for him to retire though. Good luck in the future Mike!

His teeth
His flowing jersey when he's at top speed
Being a very emotional guy
A King killer throughout his career
Someone who always handled himself with class

I remember that night so well. Later on, he didn't remember that at all. He said he was out cold at the time.
Going to miss you Mike Modano. Watching you zip down the ice like you were flying. Come to think of it, I believe that's the last time that cams followed stretchers out the the ambulance. haha, Mike had a good laugh about the whole thing.
Good luck with your retirement. Your talent and good sportsmanship will be missed.

I wonder how many games Messier would have gotten today.
