Yeah, heard a lot of his voice when playing NHL 2000-and-I-forget-what year...

Lost in the translation is that the Ucks announcers are not only the worst in CA...but the worst in teh NHL...

Didn't seem lost in translation to me, sure looked like they were top of the list as far as suckage and homerism in the entire NHL to me.

Even though he's doing time for HNIC now, Jim used to be the Canucks' play-by-play guy for many years. Probably why he sounds that way during Canuck games. Still love listening to him, though.

As to "Beautiful Bob & The Foxy One", of course they're going to be at the top of the food chain. Other broadcasters wish they were them.

Anaheim? We all know how they sound. I like the fact the Wings' crew only got one star. Those guys suck ass!

Well. We always knew that Bob and Jim are #1 and the sucks homers are almost less than minus zero.

Dead-on for Quacks, Flames, Wings. StL needs to be in the 1 star range. Horrid.

well when dallas was busy being undefeated against the kings for like 50 games it was pretty goddamn crappy listening to those feeds. I still hold it against them but I will admit that while underwhelming, they don't usually actively piss me off.

Those goofs in Dallas are nowhere as good as Bob and Jim. Nor is Strader even on the same level as Bob. Benanati and Laughlin 3 stars? They belong with the crap at the one star level. Glad to see Jeanneret give it a go for one more season with the Vin Scully schedule (all home games, selected road games).

i recall watching the stars this season and Reaugh was astutely critical of his home team.

i recognize that jeannerette is awesome, but i cant stand his call.

i hate vancouvers announcers as much as anaheim.

i thought that the included clip of haywards stupidity was spot on of his general attitude.

having xm radio is cool, you can listen to many of these announcer tandems all year long.
