NHL Network is key for watching the NHL Highlights each night.

at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

I was just reading this crap too about Time Warner Cable May Drop More Channels, Including Starz And NHL Network

First at&t drops the channel and now TWC. What a joke to these companies.

The problem here is that these Cable companies aren't set up to have "cafeteria like" offerings to subscribers. Where each gets to choose what they want and are billed appropriately. To me that's the only way to do this. As it is cable companies offer packages that have a bulk of channels many of which nobody wants and still has to pay for. Given hockey isn't all that popular it gets the short end.

I'd guess that at some point (and it might even be that way now) you'll be able to get NHL Network from the internet....paid for of course.

Its not part of my TWC package, but I did notice that I can now order as a stand alone subscription for $8.99/mo. It used to be part of a tier package for me.

I am looking into switching to Time Warner!!!! I hate to switch and then hear an announcement that ATT Uverse will start carrying it again.

They better not drop it! TWC is the only cable we can get in our condo with the new rules from DirectTV.. this would suck!

I just called Time Warner Cable and asked them if there was any truth to the rumor that they were dropping NHL Network.

The answer I got was that there was no truth to that rumor.
