    They didn't want to pay him that much, but were asking for more than that in a trade.
    at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

    On the other hand if Colorado matches, i believe Duchene, Landeskog and O'reilly contracts would all need to be renewed in the same off season. That would be rough.

    Its a ridiculous offersheet, Avs need to let him go. I bet Calgary doesn't get to qualify him at the end of this one.

    I think Feaster is a moron. He's tossing away what COULD be a lottery pick in this, a VERY deep draft, and finishing where they lie right now, they could have picked 1st!
