TB just traded Downie to the Avs for Quincey and now Bob McKenzie tweets:

I am now hearing TB has traded Kyle Quincey to DET. Working on details but sounds like Quincey to DET for a first-round pick. Verifying.

moments after trading Steve Downie to Colorado for Quincey, Tampa Bay flips Kyle to Detroit for a 1st round pick... and a prospect per Kypreos... we'll see about the latter.

*edit* apparently the prospect going to Tampa in the deal is Defenseman Seb Piche.

Always like Quincey, he'll be a nice depth D-man for them as the rich get richer. Gonna be a tough out unless they get caught in a couple of back to back 7 gamers, or even better, have to face St Loo, who will take it to them regardless of the outcome.
