    just saw this a few minutes ago. it was so hard to watch that video. seeing him scream like that...and his face...just absolutely killed me.

    I hope he heals alright and is able to play hockey again. that's a really bad injury.

    An hour ago...the Oilers medical staff declared him 100% healthy...

    They will institute no-touch icing eventually, but I have a feeling it will take a player being paralyzed or worse

    Stupid Oiler fans have been pestering Nystrom on his twitter since:

    Eric Nystrom feels terrible and Twitter isn

    It was an accident, I don't think Nystrom was trying to hurt anyone there and he feels remorseful. Seems like he is getting plenty of support from fans after reading that article today. Its time for no touch icing.

    I've been convinced for a long time if they want to keep the excitement have the offensive player race to the puck. No need to do it the other way. Make the forward beat the goal line. With coaching the way it is there is no way to have a half assed rule like it is now. Coaches will be pissed if you don't do it and then they get mad at you for getting the penalty. get rid of the "do something" situations.
