I don't hate Osgood. I just don't think he belongs in the Hall of Fame.

Would love to see Osgood in the Hall of Fame. I don't care how talented the teams were he played for. Only a Hall of Famer could have the long successful career that Osgood had.
Also, would love to see Rogie finally get in.
Well it would for me and I agree with the Doc.
Sorry Ozzie... You're a nice guy, and I wouldn't mind you in a one game wins all scenario, but you're not one of the greatest of all time.
No doubt he had a fabulous career though. No matter what, the guy still is a winner, something that can not be said of many of the best.
I was at my cousins house for this game !.....I was like 8 back then or 9, i remember the second the puck went in i jumped up and started going crazyyyyyy and my cousins mom ran to the living room to see wtf going on lmaooo....She thought i was crazy i told her to watch the replay =)
Osgood should not have a chance in hell of making the HOF, sorry. Will he? Maybe. But he shouldn't. Check out his career in St. Louis and NY Islanders. That should tell you something. He was maybe the luckiest goalie of the modern era in that he almost always played on a great team. Plus other goalies have individual trophies. Osgood I believe has a couple Jennings (team award) and that's it.
He was NOT better than Vernon, Barrasso, Richter, Vanbiesbrouk, Joseph, etc. and I'd easily pick any one of them over Osgood in a one game take-all.
You mean the year he went to the Islanders and they went from fifth in the division with 29 wins to 2nd and fifth in the conference with over 40? All because Milbury traded Chara away along with Bertuzzi and Luongo? That Islanders team? The one where he had a better statistical year than he did the previous year with the godly red wings? Or are you speaking of when he played his first full season with St. Louis and had a 2.24 GAA and a .910 save percentage?
Look, you want to say he's not a first ballot guy, or even that he should make it, fine. But don't pretend he was some POS goalie who lucked his way to 400 wins and three stanley cups.
No he's not a HOF'er. I'm posting before I read anything, but no he's not.
