Yeah...always liked Petey and it's good to see him back. Hopefully he didn't give his all in the pre-season. Would have liked to see the Devs give John Madden another chance, especially since we could use another center with Zajac on the shelf till December at the earliest. But I get it. Maddog is clearly older/slower than the team we have in place now.

Apparently Lou is trying to sign Stralman as well, which is interesting, because a roster spot would have to be opened. Anyone want a d-man. I would have to figure Salvador or Green(who's puck moving ability is matched by his defensive lapses/is expendable due to Larsson) are available for a decent price.

Looks like Lou has signed some more insurance. That being said I don't expect him to be up with the Devs unless something major happens(trade/injury) to our rw'rs. Man, Sykora has been nails so far. He was supposed to be out for that Kings game(illness) but he sucked it up and played(well). Petey was always knocked as soft but I think that a few years out of the league humbled him. He is one of the hardest workers on the ice every night. Proud of ya P.S.
Looks like Steve Bernier is getting a shot to infuse some offense on our bottom 2 lines, if he turns out to be anything like Sykora has been so far...hooray.
The Devils announced today that they have recalled Steve Bernier, who attended camp on a tryout basis and failed to make the team. Bernier, 26, tallied six points in 17 games with the Albany Devils this season. It's worth noting that he originally signed an AHL only contract; however, that has been changed to a two-way deal allowing this call-up to be made.
