The deal is far from done. The sale of the team was a huge hurdle, but the Coyotes/NHL still have to deal with the arena issues with the City of Glendale and the Goldwater Institute.
Glendale city counsel should vote on this next week, then we have to wait and see what GWI has to say about it. It seems they are not too pleased about the city still having to fork out millions in arena fees every year and thinks the team owner should pay the bill for the arena that the city insisted on owning.
