    I love that Cloutier contacted the Red Wings and not the other way around.

    Let's see...I haven't played in the NHL in 2 years, haven't been effective in 4, I think I'll play for the Detroit ****ing Red Wings this year.

    stranger still is the fact that all of the message board GMs would probably claim they'd have laughed and hung up, whereas a REAL General Manager said "yes."

    That dude has more balls for trying to come back than most guys EVER show. I mean that in a good way. If you go out the way he did, and AFTER TWO YEARS try and come back...my hat is off to him. I have a feeling the only reason that he is even trying at this point is because his knees are finally ok. Seriously, I don't think he'd try knowing that he'd make a fool of himself.

    Yeah, he was bad here...but I don't think he ever complained about what was asked of him. I wish him well. I think he was dealt a rough hand while he was here (injuries & loss of confidence + horrible defense). Most guys would have packed it in for good. The compete in this guy is off of the charts IMO. Good luck Clouts.

    PS that vid of he and Salo cracks me up every time. Challenging the bench...freaking GOLD!
