Chris Pronger of Philadelphia Flyers (concussion) out for rest of season - ESPN

They are already ruling him out for the rest of the season AND the postseason. I wish ill of no one...that being said, live by the elbow...

Pronger has always been a dirty player and i am sure there are a few folks around the league(cough! Dean McCammond! Cough!) who have zero sympathy. I expect that this is going to get almost the same attention as Sir Sids and you can pretty much bet that a)head shots are going to REALLY be enforced and someone like Sutton is going to made example of, and b)THERE WILL BE CHANGES. Expect pads to be the first thing that Shanahan alters with more to come.

I hate the guy, bit that sucks to hear.

I hope so. Don Cherry certainly isn't always right about things but he's been talking about softening the pads for a long time now and I completely agree with him. Softer pads will slow down the players and help separate the men from the boys without using fists.

Well that sucks for him, you never want to hear that about anyone.

On the bright side, we will not have to face him when the Kings take on the Flyers in the 2012 Stanley Cup Finals.

I'll go back to sniffing glue now.
